OVERVIEW
PSPO II is Scrum.org's advanced Product Owner credential. It assesses whether you can apply Scrum to the decisions a Product Owner owns at that level — vision, value, the Product Backlog, and how the organisation measures what the product is actually for — not whether you can recite the Guide.
The assessment is 40 multiple-choice questions in 60 minutes, and you need 85% to pass. Scrum.org set no required course. Their official class for this credential is Professional Scrum Product Owner - Advanced. Students should have at least one year of Product Owner experience; a previous PSPO class is recommended, not required.
ProCert is a member of the Scrum.org Professional Training Network™. Official Scrum.org training is delivered with licensed Professional Scrum Trainers. Scrum.org set the questions, mark the attempt and award the credential.
The assessment is taken online through your Scrum.org account. The specification is Scrum.org's and can change — read the current figures there before you book.

PREREQUISITES
No required course. Scrum.org recommend a previous PSPO class, and their official Advanced class is aimed at people with at least one year of Product Owner experience. Anyone may buy the assessment and sit it. What the 85% pass mark asks for is preparation, which is a different question from eligibility.

PSPO I is the entry-level paper: 80 questions in 60 minutes on the Scrum framework and the Product Owner accountabilities. PSPO II is the advanced paper: 40 questions in 60 minutes, with more weight on vision, value and how the organisation measures the product. If you are new to the role, start with PSPO I.
