What AAIGP covers
AAIGP is GAICC’s advanced practitioner credential for people who authorise, oversee, assure and shut down AI systems that take action — not only systems that produce output. The programme is 32 contact hours across eight examination domains: architecture literacy, authority and identity, agentic risk, oversight and containment, evaluation and assurance, evidence and forensics, incident response and liability, and enterprise scaling.
The examination is 100 scenario-based questions (88 scored) in 150 minutes, closed book, online AI-proctored, with a scaled pass of 350 on a 100–500 scale. Completing the self-paced course package meets the 32 contact hours GAICC require before you sit that exam. You still need the published education-and-experience route that applies to you. CPAIG is strongly recommended, not required.

- Interrogate an agentic system design well enough to govern it — control loops, tool surfaces, memory, orchestration — without becoming an engineer
- Design and operate an agent authorisation gate, with defined go / no-go criteria and the evidence required for production release
- Grant scoped, least-privilege, time-bounded authority to agents, and trace delegation chains to where accountability dilutes
- Threat-model prompt injection, tool-output poisoning and exfiltration through action
- Design oversight that is meaningful at machine speed, including approval gates, circuit breakers and kill switches
- Commission agentic red teaming and trajectory evaluation, and build a structured assurance case
- Specify agent trace logging to a standard that supports audit, regulatory scrutiny and litigation hold
- Run agentic incident response when the actor is autonomous, and allocate liability across the agent supply chain

What is the GAICC AAIGP certification?
AAIGP — Agentic AI Governance Professional — is GAICC’s advanced practitioner credential for people who authorise, oversee, assure and shut down AI systems that take action. It covers agent architecture literacy, authority and identity, agentic risk, oversight and containment, evaluation and assurance, evidence and forensics, incident response and liability, and enterprise scaling.
How is AAIGP different from CPAIG?
CPAIG governs AI systems broadly across regulation, ethics and lifecycle, with agentic AI as one domain of eight. AAIGP is entirely about systems that act: authority, identity, delegation, containment, evaluation, evidence and liability.
Do I need CPAIG before taking AAIGP?
No. CPAIG or an equivalent AI governance credential is strongly recommended but is not a formal prerequisite. AAIGP assumes working knowledge of AI governance fundamentals and does not re-teach them.
Who is this training for in Malaysia?
AI governance leads, risk and compliance managers, internal and external auditors, security and identity architects, platform and AI engineering leaders, legal and privacy professionals, and consultants advising on agent deployment.
What are the eligibility requirements?
One of: a bachelor’s degree plus three years’ relevant experience; a secondary qualification plus five years; or a master’s degree plus two years. Experience must fall within the last eight years. You also need 32 contact hours of AAIGP training. The self-paced course package includes training that meets the hours requirement.
How is the programme structured?
Thirty-two contact hours as four days of eight hours each, two examination domains per day. Day 4 finishes with a full mock examination and review. The same hours can be completed self-paced.
How is the exam set?
One hundred scenario-based multiple-choice questions, of which 88 are scored and 12 are unscored pilots, in 150 minutes with no scheduled break. The exam is closed book and AI-proctored online. The pass mark is 70% of scored items (62 of 88). Scores are scaled from 100 to 500, with 350 as the passing threshold. There is no negative marking. A provisional result with domain-level feedback appears on screen; the certification decision is confirmed within 72 hours.
How long is the certification valid, and how do I renew it?
The credential is valid for three years. Renewal requires 60 CPD hours in that cycle, including at least 20 hours of practical application, then a renewal application and reaffirmation of the GAICC Code of Ethics.
What happens if I do not pass the exam?
Domain-level feedback is provided with every result. GAICC members receive one exam voucher per certification. A further attempt after an unsuccessful first sitting requires the applicable exam fee.
What is the difference between the two packages?
The self-paced course package includes the full video course and everything needed to prepare from scratch. The membership and exam package is for candidates who have already completed the AAIGP programme and only need the examination, membership and supporting resources.
Can I buy the exam package if I have not done the training?
No. Thirty-two contact hours of structured GAICC AAIGP training are required before you can sit the examination. If you have not completed it, choose the self-paced course package.
